What’s a DSEAR?
DSEAR stands for Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations. These regulations are in place to ensure the safety of everyone in workplaces where dangerous substances are present. This can include risks from fire, explosions, and even corrosion of metals.
What does DSEAR require?
DSEAR places the responsibility on employers to carefully assess and control these risks. This involves:
- Identifying all potential hazards from dangerous substances.
- Implementing effective control measures to minimize those hazards.
- Preparing for emergencies involving dangerous substances.
Our DSEAR accomplishment
Our team recently completed a DSEAR assessment for a major national retailer depot. This was a complex project, involving the individual assessment of over 370 different products! Thanks to a tremendous team effort, we were able to complete this project within a very tight timeframe.
